Executive Editor
CATWALK Magazine
Role Description:
Conceptualized and launched the inaugural issue of CATWALK Magazine as a strategic brand extension and innovative fundraising channel, securing over 100 pre-sales for a publication with no previous market presence.
I identified an opportunity to extend CATWALK's brand influence beyond the event itself, creating a tangible product that would showcase creative talent while generating additional charitable revenue. Developing a publication that balanced artistic vision with commercial viability required strategic positioning that would appeal to our established audience while attracting new supporters.
STRATEGIC APPROACH
As Executive Editor, I established the complete visual identity and editorial voice, crafting a narrative flow that guided readers through a cohesive experience. Working alongside the Creative Director, I made critical decisions on typography, layout architecture, and visual hierarchy that reinforced our brand positioning while elevating content presentation.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
I oversaw the end-to-end production process from concept to distribution, conducting thorough cost analysis to determine optimal pricing, selecting print vendors, and developing pre-sale strategies. My role required coordinating writers, photographers, designers, and business stakeholders while maintaining unwavering focus on our charitable mission.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
IMPACT
The successful launch established a sustainable new fundraising channel that complemented our event-based revenue while enhancing brand perception. The magazine served as both a creative showcase and sponsor integration opportunity, strengthening stakeholder relationships and creating a replicable model for future issues.
